Role Overview – Head Chef 

The successful Head Chef will lead the kitchen team, overseeing the daily operation and delivering exceptional food for a small but busy boutique hotel restaurant. 

Working with a close-knit brigade of 4 chefs, you will have the opportunity to create memorable dishes using some of the finest coastal produce, with ingredients arriving fresh into the kitchen. 

This is a hands-on cooking role, ideal for a strong Sous Chef ready to take their first Head Chef position or an experienced Head Chef looking for a more personal, quality-led environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and motivate the kitchen brigade of 4 chefs 

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and service standards 

• Create and deliver exceptional Rosette-level cuisine 

• Work closely with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients 

• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes 

• Support menu development and kitchen organisation 

• Ensure high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and performance 

Candidate Requirements 

We are looking for: 

• Previous experience as a Head Chef, or a strong Sous Chef ready for their first Head Chef role 

• Experience within Rosette, boutique hotel, fine dining, or quality-led restaurants 

• Strong cooking ability with a passion for excellent ingredients 

• Natural leadership skills and the ability to develop a small team 

• Organised, creative, and hands-on approach to kitchen management 

• Passion for seasonal produce and exceptional food standards
