Role Overview – Head Chef
The successful Head Chef will lead the kitchen operation, overseeing a team of five chefs while delivering exceptional West African cuisine using premium ingredients and authentic techniques.
The restaurant caters for up to 100 covers alongside small events, with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and exceptional hospitality.
A unique part of this role includes the opportunity to travel to Africa to discover authentic techniques, regional spices, and culinary inspiration.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Manage and develop a team of five chefs
• Deliver exceptional fine dining West African cuisine
• Maintain consistency across all services and events
• Drive standards across food quality, presentation, and kitchen organisation
• Support menu development using exceptional ingredients and authentic flavours
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, leadership, and team performance
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for:
• Previous experience as a Head Chef
• Fine dining experience within West African cuisine
• Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
• Experience leading and developing a successful kitchen team
• Passion for exceptional ingredients and authentic cooking techniques
