The Role – Head Pastry Chef
As Head Pastry Chef, you will oversee all pastry operations across the hotel, ensuring exceptional standards, creativity, and consistency across multiple revenue streams.
This includes:
Breakfast pastry and fresh viennoiserie
Afternoon tea pastry and cakes
Restaurant desserts and plated fine dining pastry
Banqueting, weddings, and private events
Seasonal menus and festive offerings
You will lead the pastry team, manage ordering and stock control, and maintain the highest presentation and quality standards expected within a luxury hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the pastry kitchen team
Design and develop seasonal pastry menus
Deliver premium desserts and bakery items across all outlets
Maintain food cost control and stock management
Train and mentor junior pastry chefs
Ensure consistency, hygiene, and operational excellence
Work closely with Executive Chef and senior leadership team
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a pastry chef with:
Previous experience as Head Pastry Chef, Senior Pastry Sous Chef, or similar
Background in a luxury hotel, five-star property, or high-end pastry kitchen
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent attention to detail and presentation
Good commercial awareness and cost control ability
Passion for quality ingredients and modern pastry standards
